Qualifications needed for game designing?
Im 16 and when Im abit older i would like to go down the game designer route. I have looked up what qualifications you need and obviously you need some sort of qualification in game designing. Also i get the idea that you need english obviously for the creative side of things. I can genuinely say that GD is something that I would LOVE to do and something that I will do anything to become. I am going to college in september to do A-Level Business Studies and once I finish that I plan to take a games designing course as a few colleges in my region offer them. In case you need to know here are my current GCSE grades:
English: A
Maths: C
Science: B
IT: C
Business Studies: B
General Studies: B
3D Product Design (Woodwork): C
GCSE PE: C
If could give me some information regarding game designing as a career I would be grateful. Also what is the typical starting wage and are jobs hard or easy to come by in the UK or England?

Game design (and programming in general) require above average mathematics skills and attention to detail. From the looks of your grades, you might be more suited to a career in communications or business than computer science or IT. I don’t say this to be mean…it can be very frustrating to choose an educational path ill-suited to your skill set.
